So, I'm almost done with talking about this 100 mile race. Pretty soon I'll start posting about 5k training. Yup, I'm likely going from one polar opposite to the other. But, John, my pacer at the ultra, sent me his thoughts on the race and so I'll be putting those up in the next couple of days.
Also, I finally became a big boy blogger and forked out the $7.00 to get my own domain name. So, there will be some big layout changes coming pretty soon on Run To The Border. It's about time - I'm getting sick of that photo of me on my header.
But, those things will likely be waiting a little while longer. I've got a busy week of work ahead of me, and I need to crank up my job hunt (know anyone looking to hire an Environmental Scientist?) Seems like it takes me at least a couple of hours to apply for a single job. That is, after I spend hours and hours trying to find one to even apply for. But between all of the cover letters, and each individual company wanting their own individual form filled out, it's getting incredibly time consuming.
So stay tuned. Hopefully I'll get some of this blog stuff done by the end of the week.

You're right! That is one to the other. :)
Filling out all the job apps sounds like a drain. It seems easier when you know someone and can get an in, that way you're filling out new hire paperwork!
Yay for the domain... it was a step I waited too long to do!
And I think you'll rock the 5ks after all that!
If you happen to find TWO environmental scientist jobs, will you send one my way!?!?
Can't wait to hear about your 5ks. And your pacer report!! :)
jill's an environmental scientist? who'da thunk.
congrats on taking the plunge and becoming "official" :)
good luck on the job hunt!
you could try big engineering/construction firms? jacobs, bechtel, urs, fluor... they have some positions for "environmentally" things, and have them all around the us/world (well, when there are openings).
